Urinals can be a real nightmare.Harsh chemicals and acids remove buildup from urinals,
but can be detrimental to the waste pipping.
Plungers & augers may buy you some time,
but can be detrimental to the waste pipping.

But in the end, theirs only one way to do it .....
1. Remove urinal from the wall. 2. Clean and scrape urinal trap (if all areas of trap are not accessible, urinal is removed from building and treated chemically.)
3. Urinal line is cabled and rinsed simultaneously, as many times as necessary.
4. New waste gasket
5. New top spud.
6. Rebuild the flushometer.
7. Rehang and caulk.
urinal maintenance should be planned and scheduled in preventive manor.
Recommendations for preventing urinal build up.

Apx 1 cup added to the urinal trap once a week, any time the urinal will not be used for at least four hours.
automatic flushing 
I recommend using a SMO (side mount operator)
Handle is removed from flushometer and an inferred actuator is in stalled
Insuring a flush every time.
Letting urine sit in the urinal will allow for salts and minerals to fall out of suspension and cause build up
never put acid or caustic cleaners in a urinal that is installed / in use
Harsh acids/cleaners can damage the urinal waste gasket and cause a leak.
fumes from acids can cause extensive damage to cast iron vent systems.
off gases can irritate people
off gases can damage metallic trim and hardware like chrome and stainless steel
